(Philadelphia, PA)- Partner Tom Warner of Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams is a scheduled speaker for a seminar entitled “Autism: Fitting the Pieces Together,” hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:15 P.M. It will be presented live at the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia and simulcast to PBI Conference Center locations in Mechanicsburg and Pittsburgh, PA. Attendees will receive 6 substantive continuing legal education credits.

With more than 3.5 million Americans living with an autism spectrum disorder, many states are responding to what has been described as an epidemic by offering more services for children with autism. At this conference, a group pf legal practitioners, mental health professionals and government agency officials will discuss the latest information, tools and resources available to help children and families.

Warner’s presentation will discuss the provision of social skills curriculum to students with autism. Joining him as a co-presenter will be Alyssa Marton, Director of Special Education at the New Hope Solebury School District.

Warner practices primarily on the representation of Pennsylvania school districts and entities in matters of special education. While he devotes much of his practice to representing clients in matters of special education litigation at the administrative and appellate levels, he also spends a significant amount of time providing in-service training to school districts regarding various matters, including the development of defensible special education programming and confidentiality/disclosure issues involving education records.
